Daniel John Pena

Daniel J. Pena was born in Riverside California on August 14, 1975. His mother Mida and father Paul Pena loved him dearly. He has a brother Raymond Pena and a sister Syndie Pena. He is survived by his brother Raymond Pena and wife Angelica Evans Pena. Our one and only Daniel John Pena, we are forever grateful for each second we have had with him and enjoyed his precious life. Daniel was a sweet husband that always held my hand and made sure he walked on the side nearest the road down sidewalks, a true gentleman. Daniel lived his life for his family, giving us so many amazing memories. Daniel will continue yo be my world and I am forever his. We thank Daniel for living such a big energetic life full of spectacular memories and help us continue to follow his enthusiastic pursuit of travel and music. Daniel Pena was an amazing chef and talented Stage Manager, Field Ops Coordinator along with many other work talents. Daniel was a friend to all in his work environment and in daily life. Everyone has expressed how amazing Daniel was and shared so many personal and unique experiences of how Daniel lived. He helped so many and all the examples of how he went deeper than he had to with others and took the time to teach a skill for others to pick up on it and learn as well as respected others for who they were. The music community came together to honor Daniel Pena’s life and showed the world how important he will forever be during this 2022 Austin City Limits Festival. Daniel has shown us how important it is to not only work hard but also create a work family and play just as hard. To enjoy the little things in life. He worked in numerous local restaurants and events. He put his heart into Food and Wine, Blues on the Green, Austin City Limits, Banaroo, SCVA, Trail of Lights, Carrolton Festival, Lollapalooza and so many more amazing gigs. He was proud to manage Austin Music Hall and was honored to lead the special reception of Barak Obama. Daniel enjoyed his career with Event Production Services, C3, The Moody Theatre, Pollen, Austin Music Hall and more, bringing him a drive in life that motivated him and made him who he was. Daniel was a chef throughout his life and loved to cook especially french cuisine. He was an avid chef and explored working as a saucier creating sauces and gravies that complemented his dishes. Daniel worked in Boulder Colorado and in Austin Texas in fine dining industry and also as catering on movie sets such as Spy kids 2. Daniel was an avid animal lover and always had his dogs by his side. We know he is still taking care of his pets that have passed on as I care for his Lilah and Scarlett. He cared for animals of all kinds such as sugar gliders, birds and even a pet iguana named BoBo. He loved his fur babies and our lives revolved around them. He was an outdoorsman and loved to hike where we met in Boulder Colorado. He was an avid snow boarder and throughout his life found the opportunity to always hike and fish. He carried over his passion for the outdoors here in Austin by fishing, swimming, cliff jumping and exploring. Daniel loved to grill and enjoyed places such as Wimberley Blue Hole, Krause Springs, Deep Eddy and the greenbelt. Anything Daniel Pena put his mind to he would accomplish. From being a chef to working the biggest gigs in the music industry, he could do it all. His family and friends miss him. Rest in Paradise sweet Daniel.
