Garland Eugene Broadnax

Garland Eugene Broadnax was born 09/29/1960 and lived in Taylor, Texas. He graduated from University High School, Waco, TX in 1979 and immediately joined the US Marine Corps for five years; afterwards he graduated from Connelly Technical School in Waco, Texas as a Master Welder. He worked 40 years as a Master Welder, 20 years in Waco, then 20 years at Starks Welding, Georgetown Texas. He gently passed away on 8/4/21. Garland was Christian and deeply religious. His greatest gift to this world was that he was a GIVER. He tided monthly to his church, First United Methodist Church, to Mt Calvary Baptist Church, Jewish, Holiness churches, and also made contributions to TV faiths, and to many other causes and organizations. Garland had an apartment full of Bible Study notes from participating with all faiths and denominations. One of his favorite hobbies was being the family Chef. He prepared huge holiday meals that he shared with family, friends and neighbors. His father, Rupert Van Broadnax, and mother, Sammie Mae Dairy-Pendergraph Broadnax and brother Larry Donnell Pendergraph preceded him in death. His surviving and loving family members are sister, Peggy Pendergraph Lino and brother-in-law Mario A. Lino, loving niece - Veronica Celeste Lino and nephew, Carlos Francisco Lino; brothers: Louis Daniel Pendergraph, Dwight Allen Broadnax, Michael Wayne Broadnax, and Alfred Van Broadnax. He left a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, loved ones, and friends in Texas and Oklahoma. He also has an extended Broadnax family of sisters and relatives from his father's first marriage that live in Taylor and other TX areas. Garland's spirit will never leave this earth because he is so deeply loved, and we will keep his memory alive by reliving his wonderful actions - joyful gifts to us all.
