Irene Bertha Webb

Our dear mother, Irene Bertha Scallorn Webb sadly passed away on the 8th of March 2023, at the age of 84. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Elgin, Texas. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Thomas James Scallorn, her husband, William “Bill” E. Webb, her brother William Arnold Dittman, her son-in-law Lee Madrid, her granddaughter Cara Marie Wear, and her grandson Thomas James Gay. She is survived by her sisters Grace Skibecki and Joyce Burdick; her daughters Theresa Marie Madrid, Joyce Ann Gay and husband John Edward Gay, and Sara Ilene Tribble; her grandchildren Rebecca “Becca” Madrid and husband Isaac Collazo, Sr., Joshua “Josh” Madrid, Thomas “Tommy” Tribble, Amanda Joyce Tribble and fiancé Gregory Yovetich, Andrew Britton Gay, and Mary Elizabeth Gay; her great grandchildren Nathan Banta, Jr., Isaac Collazo, Jr., and Elias Madrid. Irene was born and raised in Wisconsin with her two sisters and brother. It was there that she met and fell in love with a member of the U. S. Navy, Thomas James Scallorn. They would spend the next 20 plus years traveling the United States and raising their three daughters finally settling down in Texas, where Thomas was born and raised. There were a lot of memories and shared experiences for our family throughout those times; some good; some bad, but all the same memories that we will hold on to forever. Irene would spend the next 30 plus years with her husband, William “Bill" Webb. They carved out a beautiful life for themselves finally settling down in Elgin, Texas with Sara, Tommy and Amanda Tribble. Together they would turn what was once a single family home into a family compound. Irene passed away surrounded by family after a recent diagnosis of lymphoma. To honor Irene’s memory, we are holding a celebration of her life at 11 am on the 22nd of April 2023 at First Presbyterian Church located at 303 North Avenue C in Elgin Texas followed by a reception at Grace Lutheran Church located at 801 West 11th Street in Elgin, Texas and lastly a graveside service to bury her ashes at Eloise Woods located at 115 Northside Lane, Cedar Creek, Texas.
