Jamie Letisha Nauert

There are no words that truly prepare you to say goodbye to someone like Jamie. She was deeply loved, and her absence leaves a space that can never be filled. Jamie was born in Lufkin, Texas, to Rhonda and Ralph Wythe. At the age of three, she moved to the Austin area with her mother and sisters. Shortly after, her mother met Edwin W. Krieg Jr., who, while technically her stepfather, became her dad in every way that mattered. She grew up attending Pflugerville schools, where she proudly became a beautiful Lady Panther. Jamie had a spirit that was impossible to miss — she never met an animal she didn’t want to save or bring home, and she never met a person she didn’t befriend. If you knew her, chances are she convinced you at some point to take in a stray. Her love for animals was unmatched, even going back to when she was a little girl and believed birds had four legs. After high school, Jamie spent time working in the medical field before transitioning into the veterinary field, where her compassion truly found its place. But nothing in her life compared to the role she cherished most — being a mother. Her children, Devin, Zoe, and Jack, were her entire world. She loved them fiercely and completely from the moment they entered this world, and that love will continue to surround them always. Jamie also leaves behind her beloved dog, Cricket, and her cat, Sly, who were more than pets — they were family. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her generous heart, her silly humor, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and loved. To know Jamie was to feel cared for, encouraged, and never alone. To her family, she was everything — a daughter, a sister, an aunt, and a best friend. As her sister Precilla lovingly shares, “She was my peanut butter and I was her jelly. We were thunder buddies from the start. To the Moon & Infinity, TTNE.” That bond, and the love she gave so freely, will live on forever. Jamie was preceded in death by her dad, Edwin W. Krieg Jr. She is survived by her mother, Rhonda Krieg; her children, Devin, Zoe, and Jack; her sisters, Aleesa Harding and Precilla Harris; her brother-in-law, Daniel Harding; and her nieces and nephews, Gabriella Adams, Makiah Harding, Savannah Harding, Alexandra Adams, Samantha Adams, and Amelia Adams; her aunt Sheila Mayo, and many extended cousins, second cousins, and other family members. Jamie was the glue that held so many together — a thunder buddy, a protector, and a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She is deeply missed, endlessly loved, and will never be forgotten.
