John Danns

Memorial Service for John E Danns will be held at Thomas Chapel A.M.E church in Copperas Cove Tx. on 8/21/2013 at 11:00am. Mr. Danns was 66yrs old, he passed on 8/14/2013 at a local nursing home in Harker Heights. He was born 8/24/1946 in Georgetown Guyana, the 4th child of Molly Evelyn Danns and Edmund Montgomery Danns. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Keith Danns and his eldest grandchild Shane Wicks. He leave behind his wife of 49yrs Patricia Lee Danns, daughters Charmaine and Juette Danns, Tricia Danns-Brower, Sons Duane and Anderson Danns. Father-in -law to Willis Brower IV, and Daphne Danns. Grandfather to Shannon Danns, Jahczar Matthew, Tristan Brower, Dylan Danns, Ania Danns, Brianna Brower, Amarius Danns, and Dean Danns. Brother to Michael Danns, Phyllis Cyrus, Allan Danns, Dr. Ken Danns, and Irving Rutherford. Brother-in-law Josephine Danns, Hermus Cyrus, Brenda Danns, Millie Danns, Donna Danns, Kim Nesbitt, Tricia Rutherford and Ann Danns. Grandson of Ada Adela Layne and Samuel Layne; Rachael Danns and Henry Hooper. Nephew of Frank Cummings and Courtney Layne. Uncle to Arleigh, Martin, Thomas, and Michelle Bayne Esq Joseph Cyrus, Mark Bobb, Michael and Denise Danns, Leslie Parris Kwank, Christine, David Danns, and Sharon Danns-Bruel, Terence, Christopher, Kevin, Penelope and Abigail Danns, Dr. Dionne Danns, Tamara Bramlett, Rea Kelly, Max, Dax and Don Danns, Wisdom Danns, Khristian, Deidre, Molly, Terri. Najerie Danns, Imari and Jacobi, Bramlett, Katara Danns, Asia and Rayon Kelly. Jerome, Daniel, Benjamin, Johanna and Taneka and five others. He attended Cotton Tree Primary School and Rosignol Government School. He was able to attend Guyanese College where he acquired the General Certificate of Education (GCE). He later migrated to the United States in 1969, where he studied refrigeration and air conditioning at Berk Trade School in HVAC. He was a teacher at Guyanese College, then the Manager for refrigeration at the Ministry of Works with responsibility for all Government buildings including hospitals. He later moved on to become the Maintenance Supervisor at the Central Bank in Guyana. At the same time he established his own business which was very successful. John and his family migrated to the United States in 1985 and together with his wife Patricia started Danson?s Services, their very own air condition and refrigeration business in Queens New York. John also work at Sears as a HVAC technician and also worked at Circuit City. After Moving to Texas he found work at GC Services as a customer service representative.
