Judith Ann Litteaur

Judith “Judy” Litteaur (née Albertson) sadly passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, March 21, 2024. She was 64 years old. Judy was born in Des Moines, Iowa, to Bruce and Maryellen Albertson. The oldest of 3 siblings, she was always making sure her brothers, Ray and Cy, stayed in line, whether they liked it or not. She graduated from Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Iowa and was active in chorus and the dance team. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Northern Iowa. As an adult, she was always an adventure seeker. She loved camping and exploring caves. She loved running and completed several marathons. And if it was a nice day, she was out in it. Judy was married to Bruce Litteaur in August of 1980. They had a daughter, Jessica (Jessie), and then a son, Raymond (Ray). In 1985, the entire family, including Judy’s parents and brothers, moved to Texas. Bruce and Judy and their children settled in Austin, TX, finding a home near Judy’s parents. They then later had a third child, Lucy. She loved her family fiercely and was always a huge part of her children’s lives, be it sports, cheerleading, or school activities. For nearly 40 years, Judy worked for Farmers Insurance, following the footsteps of her father, Bruce. She made many lifelong friends there and was able to complete her degree during that time. She was a positive, bright shining light, no matter the situation. She loved pink flamingos, bright yellow flowers, and Bigfoot. She loved camping and pina coladas. Taking her RV to a state or national park, whether it was an hour away or across the country, was one of her favorite things. But mostly, she loved her family. She was so excited to be a grandma to her son Ray’s 2 children, Lottie and Bubba. She was the strongest person you’d ever meet and met every challenge with a smile and a positive attitude. Judy is preceded in death by her brother, Cyrus (Cy) Albertson. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Litteaur of Austin; her parents, Bruce and Maryellen Albertson of Austin; her brother Ray Albertson (Kelle) of Fort Worth; her daughter Jessie Gates (Billy) of Austin; her son, Raymond Litteaur (Amanda) of Missouri City; her daughter Lucy Litteaur of Austin; and her two grandchildren Charlotte “Lottie” and Robert Litteaur of Missouri City; nieces Grace Albertson Snyder of Austin and Mackenzie Albertson Rynd of Fort Worth; and nephew Keller Albertson of Fort Worth.
