Lydia Leal Rivera

Lydia Leal Rivera, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of May 24, 2024, after her second battle with breast cancer. She was 80 years old. She entered into the Kingdom of Heaven surrounded by her husband of 60 years and her loving children. Lydia was born on September 3, 1943. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor, Lydia was truly loved by all. Lydia’s passion was taking care of young kids and she provided childcare services out of her home for more than 40 years. She raised hundreds of children and was blessed when those kids would bring their children for her to care for. Lydia lived for bringing people together to make memories, to laugh, to share love with each other and always while eating something she made from scratch with love. Lydia is survived by her loving family, including her husband Robert Ramirez Rivera, her daughters Lynn Dalsing (Justin), Jessica Rivera (Keith), Laura Rivera Poche (David), her son Robert A. Rivera (Jessica), and her grandchildren, John Foradory (Ashley), Christopher Diaz (Andrea), Bianca Ware (Feron), Katie Dalsing, Luke Rivera, Madilyn Schwing, Miabella Schwing, Karlie Rivera and her great-grandchildren Maddy Foradory, Anne-Marie Diaz, Dylan Foradory, and Aydyn Ware in addition to her siblings Irma Puente, Estella Villegas, Jerry Leal, Gloria Valadez, Yolanda Llanes, and Rosie Perez. She is preceded in death by her parents Serafin Jose Leal, and Juanita Cordova Leal, as well as her grandson, Hector Usiel Diaz Jr. If you knew her please join the family for A Celebration of Life in her memory.
