Manuel Chavez Morales

Manny Morales, of El Paso, TX, passed away on June 23rd, 2018 in Austin, Texas at the age of 56. Manny was born in Las Angeles, California to Manuel and Alejandra Morales on September 8th, 1961. He went to school at Eastwood High in El Paso Texas. Manny is preceded in death by his father Manuel Morales and his bother Alex Morales. Manny is survived by his mother Alejandra Morales, his sister Marie Morales and his brother Willie Morales. He is also survived by two aunts, his Aunt Concha in California and his Aunt Carmen in Juarez, Mexico and his Uncle Rodolfo with his wife in Chaparral New Mexico. Manny worked as an Electrician since 1985 and had been employed at Z-NON Electric, Inc for the past 16 years. He was a journeyman electrician who worked hard and took great pride in what he did. Manny’s resourcefulness, along with his kindness and integrity, elicited trust and a sense of companionship with every person he met. He often helped people who were at their wits end and he had a wonderful way of putting them at ease and always knew what needed to be done. Manny, with his long hair and terminator-like sunglasses, you would not at-first expect him to be the gentle soul who we all knew and loved. He was known for his love of pecan flavored coffee and apple pie and had beautiful and diligent handwriting. In his off time he loved to cook and barbeque and he was also a life-long fan of both the LA Lakers and the University of Texas Longhorns. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him, but we are all grateful that he has found rest and peace. The viewing will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday July 2nd at Affordable Burial and Cremation Services located at 13009 Dessau Rd in Austin, Texas. Funeral and Burial services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 3rd at Austin Memorial Park cemetery located at 2800 Hancock Dr Austin, TX 78731. The family of Manny Morales wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Seton Hospital and Seton Hospice. With special thanks to the Seton Hospice nurse Sharon White, and Heartland Health Care nurse Kim Long, who was with Manny at the time of his passing. The family would also like to express their gratitude for Z-NON Electric, Inc for providing him with employment and treating him like family.
