Scott Bradley Funcannon

Loving husband and father Scott Bradley Funcannon also known as Funny Face, passed away unexpectedly on September 27th, 2023 at the age of 66. He leaves behind his wife Lisa Funcannon of 48 years, their two children Ashlee Funcannon and Bradley Funcannon, and his daughter Melissa Vedder. Between the 3 children, Scott had 2 son in laws, 1 daughter in law, 5 grand children total, and another on the way. Scott was born on December 7th, 1956 in Peoria Illinois to Carl Elijah Funcannon and Joanne Marie Funcannon who predeceased him. He grew up with 2 older brothers and 1 younger sister, whom he also leaves behind along with their families. Scott met his wife Lisa in middle school, and little did they know they'd soon after fall in love. They started dating in 1975, began a life together in Illinois, and moved to Austin Texas in 1981 for work opportunities. Scott had a committed love for motorcycles, Harley Davidson's specifically. He loved to live his life to the fullest. He decided to retire the motorcycle to raise his kids and assure that he was present in their lives. That alone shows how much he loved his family. Scott also had a special love for his dogs. He always had at least 4 dogs at a time and made it seem like they were there for the kids. But secretly, he loved and wanted them for himself. He worked in the construction industry for 20 plus years, started his own company even, and later transitioned into the lawn maintenance industry. He was the perfect example of a provider and protector. He got up every day with a smile on his face, ready to go to work and accomplish the tasks that were on the agenda for that day. Scott was a man with a huge heart, always putting others before him. He knew how to lighten any mood and his presence alone could light up a room. He was a very funny man. He had a funny joke or comment for every situation. Scott was a faithful fan of The Texas Longhorns. You would have never guessed that he wasn't born and raised in Texas the way that he supported them. He loved to make a big deal out of game days with longhorn gear, food, and lots of beer! Scott's family will have an intimate, private viewing and Scott will be cremated after (as he wished to be.) Memorial Services will be held for Scott on October 12th at 6:30pm at the neighborhood church Gethsemane Lutheran, 200 W, Anderson Ln. Austin, Tx 78752.
