Stacie Ann McMorris (Skinner) March 10, 1962 – June 26.2026 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stacie McMorris, who passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 64, after a courageous 18-month battle with leukemia. She was born in Buffalo NY. and moved to Dutchess County NY at the age of two. It is here she made many lifelong friends and eventually met the love of her life, Steven McMorris. She attended John Jay High School in East Fishkill, New York. On April 26, 1980, she married Steven McMorris, and together they built a loving family over the next 46 years. Nothing brought her greater joy than being "Mom" and especially "Grandma." Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She is survived by her Children and Grandchildren · Joseph McMorris and his Wife Jennifer Gardner McMorris and their son John · Jeffrey McMorris and his wife Jennifer (Jenni) McMorris and their children Charles, James, Noelle and Abigail · Robert McMorris and his wife Grace Simmons · Amanda Snapp (McMorris) and her husband Josh Snapp and soon to be daughter. Stacie was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her sixth grandchild, Leola, who is expected in July Throughout her battle with leukemia, she displayed remarkable courage, strength, and grace. Even on the hardest days, she remained positive and treasured every moment she could spend with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Stacie grew up in a large family of 10 Children. · She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Skinner and her Mother Iris Baul. · Her Sisters, Sindi Hickey, Sarah Tierney, Brothers Bruce Skinner and Bryan Skinner. She is survived by her sisters, Sue Powell, Sally Whitson, Sylvia Kelly, Samantha Carrol and brother Bifford Skinner Stacie will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family. She had an incredible ability to make others feel welcome and cared for, and her strength, even during the most difficult times, inspired everyone who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma society to support research and treatment in the fight against leukemia. Though our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the years we shared with her. Her love, laughter, strength, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always.
