Christle L. Miersma Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Christle L. Miersma, 55, of Round Rock, Texas passed away on August 1st, 2021. Born July 20th, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Worked as a hotel manager, magazine publisher, and volleyball referee. Christle had a passion for the sport of volleyball and loved to indulge in that passion wherever she could. Christle found herself coaching both of her daughters volleyball teams before finding her place working towards and achieving a national volleyball referee honor. Christle impacted many souls in all aspects of her life, from family members, friends, coworkers and mentors. She was known for her generous heart and warrior-like fight. Christle always had a gracious heart but always knew the appropriate time to crack a joke. Christle was known to her grandchildren as “Grandma Tursel” and taught them the value of collecting memories in each special moment, whether that be by collecting rocks or the value of the perfect picture. Christle had a deep love for her family and she valued the ability to make memories and enjoyed travelling around the world. Christle was survived by her husband of 26 years Bob Miersma, their 2 children Amy and Jamie Miersma, her step-children Nick, Keith and Jacey and her grandchildren Kate, Lucy, Elliott, Mia, Scarlett, Noah, Truitt, Tatum and Tess. Christle was also survived by her four brothers, Kenyon, Daniel, Zach and Elijah and her mother Patricia Long. The funeral for Christle L. Miersma will be on Monday August 9th, 2021 at 11:00am.
