Hunter Ross Hayes
March 3, 1998 - October 26, 2020
With deepest sorrow, we announce that Hunter Ross Hayes, age 22, of Austin, Texas, left this earth for his heavenly home. Hunter was born March 3, 1998, in Abilene, Texas and was the son of Stephen and Melissa. He attended Frontier High School in Mansfield, Texas and The University of Texas at Arlington. Hunter was extremely funny, had a quick wit, and made his family and friends laugh quite a bit. Hunter was a deep thinker, thoughtful, focused, intelligent, dedicated, and well-spoken. He enjoyed meaningful discussions on life, watching sports, and helping others in their recovery from life’s struggles. Hunter was at his healthiest and happiest during his time at Camp Sweeney, a camp for children with Type 1 Diabetes, and greatly enjoyed mentoring others. Hunter will be missed every day by his Mother Melissa, Stepdad Scott, Sister Courtney, Brother Garrett, Step-brothers Geoffrey and Hunter, Aunt Amy; Grandfather Tom Rasberry, Grandmother Peggy Hayes, bonus Grandparents Peter and Karen Parsinen, bonus Aunt Tracy, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his precious puppy Millie. We know Hunter is with his father, Stephen Hayes, and grandmother, Sandra Rasberry- loved in both heaven and on earth. A celebration of Hunter’s life will be held in Arlington, Texas, at a later time due to the pandemic. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please consider making a donation in Hunter’s name to Camp Sweeney or the American Diabetes Association.
