Ms. Joyce Ann Gordon transitioned from this earth March 24, 2020, at her residence. She was born October 20, 1948, in Prince Anne County, Virginia Beach, VA to Norman Cornick and Bessy Jones-Gordon. She was a Killeen resident, a retired Dietary Aide from Lake Taylor Hospital VA, and a loving Mother to All She was known to everyone as Mama Joyce and to her grandkids & Great grandkids as granny. She was a member of the Kingdom Life Church, Killeen TX. Survivors include her Loving and Devoted daughter, Val Richard Killeen TX; siblings Edward Fuller, Annie Mae Pettaway, Catherine Worrell, Horace Gordon and Vernon all of Virginia. Grandchildren; Alicia Williams, Brandon Shorter, Cameron Shorter of Killeen Texas and Erica Shorter of Round Rock Texas; Great Grandchildren Jakayla Moody, Amare Williams, Kennedy Shorter and Benjamin Shorter; Special Niece Pam Baker of Austin Texas. Those she took on as her own children Rose Leach, Elder Terry Mustapher, Jay Jones, Teresa Evans, Elder Warren “Tex” Wilson and Reggie Coone. Mama Joyce also leaves a host of other family and numerous extended family members and friends to cherish her memories. Celebration of Life Services in Killeen Texas and Norfolk Virginia are pending currently. The Family is receiving donations at 411 West Green Avenue, Killeen Texas 76541.
