Leonard Earl Cooley, Jr., was born on March 17, 1947, in Cherry Point, North Carolina to Lenard and Betty (Batson) Cooley. He passed away on June 13, 2019, at the age of 72 after a short illness. Mr. Cooley is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Batson Kinsel, his father, Lenard Cooley, and his brother, Harry Damon Cooley. He is survived by his son Scott Cooley and wife Lisa, grandchildren Hannah and Noah Cooley, and brother Tom Cooley and wife Lynn. The Cooley family would like to thank the physicians and staff at the Olin E. Teague Veterans' Medical Center and Hospice care facility in Temple, Texas, for their thorough, compassionate care of Leonard during his illness.
