Maria A. Burch Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On July 11, 2022, Maria “Tony” Burch, age 77, with her daughters by her side, went to dance with the angels in heaven. At the request of her family, no service will be held. Tony was born in Mexico City, Mexico on March 4, 1945, to Antonio Arizmendi and Maria Garcia. She immigrated to San Diego, California at an early age. Tony graduated from beauty school in 1963 and owned her own beauty shop until she married. She moved to Texas in 1979 with her family. She was a proud mother of two daughters, Carmen and Regina but her pride and joy were her 7 grandsons and her great granddaughter. Everyone that met her knew how special she was, and people gravitated towards her. She had a special place in her heart for the children at Wright Elementary in Perryton, Texas where she was a custodian for 20 years. Tony is survived by her daughters and their husbands; Carmen and Chris Shaw and Regina and Jean Targete; 7 grandsons Michael L’Esperance with wife Brier, Christopher L’Esperance with wife Whitley, Hayden Shaw with girlfriend Bailey Murphy, Colby Shaw, Mason L’Esperance, Logan Targete and Cage Targete; one great-granddaughter, Ellyet L’Esperance. She leaves behind 2 sisters, Magdalena Rodriguez and Pilar Cruz and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Josef Burch. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Aspen Hospice and Palliative Care – North – Burnet, Travis and Williamson Counties or Hearthstone Nursing and Rehabilitation, Memory Care Unit.
