Merline Swanson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On January 31, 2022, Merline Swanson passed away at the age of 75 in Georgetown, Texas. Merline and her Husband Bob raised 3 happy, healthy and successful adults - having anywhere from 1 to all 3 children at home over the course of 30 years. Also survived by 4 grandchildren who were always welcome home. Bob and Merline were happily married for 49 years until Bob went to be with the Lord in 2014. Merline worked tirelessly in early childhood education as a teacher and disciple in Christian schools for more than 40 years. Merline is widely regarded as a gifted instructor of young people and school director - winning an award of excellence in education from the California Teachers Association in 2006. "Miss Merline" began her ministry, impacting the lives of children out of their family home in San Jose, Ca. She ultimately retired from teaching at The Fellowship Christian Academy in Texas after relocating to the state in 2010. Merline loved watching her students and children grow, sharing the love of Jesus, cooking outstanding meals for her family, and was a serious bargain-hunter. Every one who met Merline even just for 10 minutes realized the light of love and true compassion shone from within her. The same things were always said by everyone, "She is such a gentle, amazing, sweet woman and we love her." She will be missed and lovingly remembered for her kind, sweet and giving spirit. Psalm 73:26 My flesh and heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
