Thomas Edward Davis

October 25, 1948 - January 27, 2022

The family of Thomas Edward Davis announces Tom’s passing from our shared earthly life into the hands of Jesus Christ on January 27, 2022, in Cedar Park, TX. While each member mourns an individual loss, they rejoice in the knowledge that they will be reunited with him in Heaven. Tom was born on October 25, 1948, in Houston, TX at St. Joseph’s Hospital and raised with love by Mary and John (JD) Bryant. He grew up in the Houston area, surrounded by a large family of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Tom’s siblings and cousins love to share stories of his antics and practical jokes as a child. Tom served honorably in the United States Air Force for 4 years, being discharged in June 1971. Tom’s military service included language school in Syracuse, NY learning Russian as a Voice Interpreter Process Specialist. He left military service at the rank of Sergeant (E-4). He met his life-long love, Shirley, while stationed at Kelly AFB (San Antonio, TX), marrying on August 24, 1971. Tom and Shirley’s love united a family and brought 2 additional children into the world. After the military, Tom worked in retail support operations for MKI and Theis Distributing Company, finishing his career as a district manager, overseeing a team that he clearly loved. Tom enjoyed Friday night softball with his coworkers – followed by post-game celebrations at the local Stop & Go’s. His passions included John Wayne, books by Clive Cussler & James Patterson, and Houston sports teams (Go ‘Stros!). Tom was preceded in death by John D. Bryant; Mary Bryant, mother; Donald Davis, his oldest son. Tom is survived by Shirley Davis, his wife of 50 years; Brian Davis, son; Robert Davis, son and his wife Renee Davis; Meredith Adamson, daughter and her husband Paul Adamson; James Davis III, brother; John Davis, brother and his wife Diane Davis; Diane Wardlow, sister and her husband Tim Wardlow; grandchildren - Monica Davis; Aaron Davis, and his wife Rosie Davis; great-grandchildren Michaela and Matthew Cupp. He also leaves behind many dear and sweet friends who affirm the positive impact and lasting impression he left on their lives.
