Bruce Timothy Moore

Bruce Timothy Moore was born December 4,1960 in Odessa, Texas to Thomas Carlyle and Helen Irene Moore. He was the third son in a family with five boys and four daughters. His brother and sisters are Terry, Mark, Kimberly, Kelly, Jenny, Lori, Keith and Kevin. Being in a family that large has its own blessings and challenges; Bruce knew both. He was the middle of the boys and in the middle of nine children. It made him fiercely competitive. Bruce could talk to anyone and he loved sports. One of his favorite conversations was to talk with his mom about the upcoming football game and afterwards what happened. Bruce loved the times when we all got together for the holidays and the competition was on. We not only ate a meal together during the holidays but in our younger days some kind of sport was played and Bruce was right there in the middle of the excitement. He also liked to boat and fish at the coast. Bruce loved a good joke. When Bruce was a young boy he made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Later, Bruce recommitted his life to Christ and was baptized. He talked about his faith in Jesus and that one day he would get to see his father and other relatives in heaven. Bruce learned to be a master cabinet maker under his dad and took great pride in the work he did. His intelligence and knowledge in his chosen profession of wood working made him capable of constructing fine furniture, custom cabinets, store fixtures, and anything he put his mind to. He was a rare craftsman, an artisan, in his vocation and taught his sons, Matthew and Timothy as his father had taught him. Bruce loved his mother deeply and when able he would be at her house, cutting the grass, fixing anything that needed to be fixed, and just spending time with her. Bruce loved family. His children are Timothy Moore, Afton, Matthew and Nicholas Cavanaugh. Bruce also had a great friendship with Jim (James) Keefe, and they had three dogs; Texas, Ranger, and Bingo that Bruce adored. On September 14, 2021 after a lengthy illness, Bruce went home to be with the Lord. The night of Bruce's passing is an amazing story of God's presence, grace, mercy, and deep love. We all love Bruce very much and will miss him. Bruce you left this earth to soon, and leave us with much sorrow. As a family of faith we look forward to seeing you on the other side.
