To Celebrate the Amazing Life of Duke Walker Duke Devin Walker was born September 5,1981 to Mrs. Karen Frances Massey and to the late Mr Ubeau B. Walker. Duke was the only child to be born to this union. Duke was raised by his grandmother Hildegard Elizabeth, & his mother, and his step dad John Massey.Duke graduated from Tom Clark high school in San Antonio Texas , briefly attending Arlington Military school in Texas. Later,Duke decided to attend school to become a professional Bartender, where he learned the mixology of drinks. He furthered his education by receiving his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts (cooking). He loved to cook and had a passion to make the extraordinary meals you can imagine. The gift of cooking came from his soul.he was always the one who made sure everyone ate, asking everyone "are you hungry? Have you eaten yet?" Some of his accolades were to meet you and greet you with such passion, with a child-like child and beautiful smile, its was as if he had known you all his life. Duke found Jesus at a young age and believed in the power of prayer. We are thankful God is taking care of him now.he died unexpectedly on march 19,2021@1:22am at St.David Medical center in Austin Texas. Those left to cherish his memories are his siblings, nieces,nephews, cousins and a host of good friends, and of course his lifetime partner his husband, Donald Ambrose May I Go May I Go." Do you say goodbye to pain-filled days and end lonely nights . I lived my life. I've done my best to be an example,so can I take that step beyond and set my spirit free? I didn't want to go at first , I fought with all my might. But something seems to draw me now to a warm and lovely light. I want to go,I really do,its just so difficult to stay. But I will try my best I can to live just one more day.and give you time to care for me to share your love and fears. I know you are sad and afraid.because I see your tears, I'm not far,I promise and hope you will always know, my spirit will be close to you wherever you go. Thanks for loving me, you now I love you too, that's why its hard to say goodbye, and end this life with you. So hold me now just one more time, and let me hear you say you care so much for me,dear family, to let me go today. So goodnight , and I"all see you in the morning.
