Mara Ileene Flores

Mara Ileene Flores was born on July 10, 1969, in Orange, California. During her early school years, she and her father, Ben Tibbetts, moved to San Jose, California. It was there that Mara's vibrant spirit began to shine and where, in 1991, she met the love of her life, Frank Flores. Their love story quickly blossomed, and they were married in 1993, sharing nearly 33 years of beautiful marriage together. Through every season of life, they built a relationship grounded in faith, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Together, Mara and Frank built a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and hospitality. They raised two wonderful children, Kassuandra and Nicholas, who were among Mara's greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. Mara had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, loved, and welcomed. Whether through her successful career, her unwavering support of family and friends, or the countless gatherings she hosted, she left an unforgettable mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was often the biggest cheerleader in the room, encouraging others to pursue their dreams and reminding them of their value and potential. Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. It shaped the way she loved, served, and cared for others. Friends and family were never strangers in Mara's world, they were treasured gifts, and she embraced them wholeheartedly. On May 29, 2026, Mara passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her legacy of faith, generosity, strength, laughter, and love lives on in all who knew her. Mara is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Flores; her children, Kassuandra Flores and Nicholas Flores; her father, Ben Tibbetts; her step-brother, Joey Tibbetts; her mother-in-law, Lupe Flores; and countless family members and dear friends whose lives were forever changed by her love. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Real Life Church in Austin, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather as we honor Mara's life, share memories, and celebrate the incredible impact she made on all of us.
