Paul James White

Paul James White, born on May 15, 1961, in Temple, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, after a fast and furious battle with Pancreatic Cancer, in Austin, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of spirited discussions, laughter, and a deep love for family and friends. He was the one most of us would turn towards to get through a rough patch and have wisdom to spare. He would talk for hours and hours, as long as it was needed. Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Tiffany White, as well as his much-loved stepchildren, Dustin Reynolds, Sheree Sponsler, and Camille Calley. He is also survived by his parents and stepparents: his father, John White, and stepmother, Dianna White; his mother, Robbie Walker, and stepfather, Patrick Walker as well as his in-laws Troy and Sharon Tanner. He was blessed with a close-knit family, including his loving sisters, Cyndi Wilds and her husband Tim, and Susanna Hood and her husband Timothy. He is also survived by his Uncle Butch and Aunts Nancy and Molly. Paul was a proud uncle to his nieces, Ashley Wilds, Rachel Tanner, and Claire Mauk, as well as his nephews, Brandon Tanner, Haydon Mauk, and Brady Mauk. He also leaves behind numerous cousins and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and warmth. On April 27th, 2007, Paul married the love of his life, Tiffany White in a heartfelt ceremony in Round Rock. Paul embraced his role as a second father to Camille with unwavering love and commitment. He cherished every moment spent with those he loved. He retired from the City of Round Rock ten years ago after more than twenty years in service. Always young at heart Paul was an avid storyteller whether it was about past shenanigans, or spirited discussions about his passions: sociology, anthropology, and history. Even ancient history holds vital lessons still relevant today. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in early 2025, where we will gather to share stories, honor his memory, and support one another in our grief. Though he leaves us far too soon, I hope Paul’s spirit will forever remain in your hearts as he will in mine.
